Human Trafficking Awareness Day

There are nearly 27 million men, women, and children trapped as victims of human trafficking worldwide. Today let us take time to learn more about the signs of human trafficking victims so that we can recognize it in our own communities.

In Champaign County, those in need of emergency shelters, food programs, mental health care, and other services may call 211, which will put them in touch with the United Way of Champaign County. This is a non-emergency line, that can be called or texted by anyone in the county, in need of services. The dispatchers will direct you to the correct services, closest to you. Emergencies warrant a call to 911, and 211 does not serve as a replacement line.
