Danville Area Community College students, who are part of the TRIO Program, visited Springfield today to meet with me and tour the Capitol Building and House Floor.
The TRIO program is a federal application-based program that helps students that meet certain criteria receive assistance to pay for college. Currently, TRIO has over 2,800 programs and serves nearly 850,000 students nation-wide. The program was created to help eligible students obtain their Associate degree and learn about future options.
