Today marked the 31st Fallen Firefighter Memorial and Medal of Honor Ceremony to pay tribute to firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty and to those that exceeded expectations of the job. I attended the memorial service with many of my colleagues as we honored those five firefighters who lost their lives to rescue others and the recipients of the Medal of Honor.
I am thankful for the brave men and women that continue to put their lives on the line to protect our communities.
