2024 SUMMER OLYMPICS

Celebrating Illinois’ Olympic and Paralympic Athletes. The 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris kicked-off with the opening ceremony on July 26 and conclude on August 11. Athletes will compete in 32 sports and 329 medal events. 27 Olympic athletes and 9 Paralympic athletes from Illinois will represent the U.S. at the Summer Games.

U.S. Highway 45

U.S. Highway 45, a major highway in central Illinois is receiving more than $1 million for lighting from Flatville to Leverett Roads in Thomasboro.

Tuesday, I had the pleasure of visiting Ehler Brothers Co in Thomasboro. The company is an agricultural service providing seed, soil testing, fertilizer and more.

BACK TO SCHOOL BASH

Thank you to everyone who came to the Back to School Bash at the Vermilion County Health Department in Danville! Many agencies were present to help get students transition back to school! Thank you to my office and my intern, Isaiah for attending!

NATIONAL INTERN DAY

Happy National Intern Day! Interns are a critical part of the American workforce who assume many important responsibilities. Internships are a great way to learn more about specific companies and industries.

Thank you to Isaiah and Rebecca for being such amazing assets to our team this summer! You have done tremendous work these past two months.

SUITS BROTHERS FARM TOUR

Last Tuesday, I had the pleasure of touring the farm of Connor and Logan Suits, twin Rantoul natives that won Grand Champion Steer and 3rd Place Heifer at the National Junior Angus Show 2024. The brothers placed ahead of 675 junior competitors at the show.

Thank you to Connor, Logan and their parents for allowing me to tour your farm! Congratulations on your wins at the NJAS! We wish you luck as you head to the Illinois State Fair this week!
