DANVILLE, IL… State Representatives Brandun Schweizer (R-Danville) and Adam Niemerg (R-Dieterich) are co-hosting a Medicare 101 event with the Illinois Department on Aging’s Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP), on September 12th from 10 a.m-11:30 a.m. at the Georgetown Fair Banquet and Convention Center, 413 N. Seminary St., Georgetown.
“Our seniors are a very vulnerable group that needs to be supported. Events such as Medicare 101 seminars are a great resource to connect seniors and their caretakers with professionals who can help make the transition to Medicare or new coverage as smooth as possible. I am encouraging attendees to come and learn more about Medicare and ensure they are getting the most out of their coverage,” said Rep. Schweizer.
The Medicare 101 Seminar is a free event hosted by experts on SHIP from the Department on Aging. SHIP is a free statewide health insurance counseling service for those with Medicare and their caretakers. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about Medicare, ask questions, and receive insight and guidance on the many facets of Medicare.
The event is open to anyone wanting to learn more about Medicare. Attendees are encouraged to bring any questions they may have regarding Medicare. No RSVPs are required.
If residents have questions, they may contact Rep. Schweizer’s office at (217) 477-0104 or visit RepSchweizer.com.
