DANVILLE, IL… State Representative Brandun Schweizer (R-Danville) announced the launch of his second annual Summer Reading Program. This year’s theme is “To the Library and Beyond.”
“I am thrilled to be hosting a summer reading program again,” said Rep. Schweizer. “My family and I are avid readers, and it is something that is extremely important to me. I encourage all students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade to join me in reading this summer!”
To join Rep. Schweizer’s program, students who live in or attend school in the 104th House District must read eight (8) books and then have a parent or guardian submit a paper or online form to Rep. Schweizer at 3812 N. Vermilion, Ste. 5, Danville, IL 61832 or at RepSchweizer.com by July 15th. To submit online, navigate to “Summer Reading”, nested under the Resources tab. Any book read that is over 150 pages may count as two books. Any books read for other summer reading programs may also count for Rep. Schweizer’s program. Once all submissions are collected, invitations will be sent to students who participated to join Rep. Schweizer for a summer reading celebration to take place in late summer.
Extra copies and pdf versions of the summer reading brochures are available upon request. For questions, please contact Rep. Schweizer at (217) 477-0104.
