Beginning next Monday, Sept. 22, traffic lights at the intersection of U.S. 45 and Sangamon Avenue in Rantoul will be turned off and covered for 90 days as part of a traffic study. Stop signs will be placed to safely guide traffic through the intersection during the traffic study.
Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices, and be alert for workers and equipment.
