The Village Hall of Rantoul, IL was awarded a $250,000 grant from the 2025 round of Safe Routes to School Award.
The grant will be used for safety and accessibility upgrades to sidewalks and intersections adjacent to JW Eater Junior High School. This includes the replacement of the existing sidewalks along Wabash Avenue and intersection improvements at Wabash Avenue and Marshall Street. These improvements are all proposed to increase safety and to encourage students to walk and bike to school.
