Rep. Brandun Schweizer was appointed to the 104th House District in December of 2023, to fill the vacancy of retiring Rep. Mike Marron. The 104th House District is comprised of parts of Vermilion and Champaign counties, in east central Illinois.
Originally from northern Indiana, Rep. Schweizer, Ret. United States Marine Corps Master Sergeant made his way to Danville while serving as a Recruiter for the USMC. Over the course of his 21-year career with the USMC, Rep. Schweizer also served as an Intelligence Analyst and Equal Opportunity Advisor.
Rep. Schweizer retired from the USMC in January. Following his military career, Rep. Schweizer served the City of Danville as a Code Enforcement Inspector. He is also a member of the IBEW Labor Union.
During his deployments, Rep. Schweizer’s wife, Amy, developed Tiny Troops Soccer, a soccer program to engage young children living on military bases with the fundamentals of the sport. Originally operating out of their city of Danville, the business now has 82 programs on different military bases, both in the United States and internationally.
Rep. Schweizer and his wife reside in Danville with their three sons.
